No power to system:

• Make sure the furnace is plugged in to the power and the switch is turned on
• Check to see if circuit breaker has not tripped
• Make sure the furnace doors are properly secured, and put back on correctly

No air coming out of system, air not correct temperature:

• Make sure all vents are open
• Make sure filter is clean
• Make sure unit thermostat is in correct mode
• Make sure pilot light is lit
• Outdoor condensing unit needs air circulation -- do not block airflow with anything
• Return air also needs air circulation make sure it is not blocked

Summer time suggestions:
Don’t sweat it. If the weather is going to be hot, make sure you start your system early to prevent it from having to work overtime at peak hours when you get home from work. Set your thermostat at 78° F to maintain a cool temp.
